At Ammons Oliver, we craft immersive landscapes that celebrate biodiversity and enhance well-being, blending artistry with ecological sensibility.

Dedicated to connections with nature, we collaborate with clients to help them add a touch of naturalism to their outdoor spaces. In doing so, we challenge the long held idea that gardens need to be maintained, as if the aim of planting is to keep a garden static, perennially repeating itself without the slightest change.

Gardens are meant to be generative. Plants rely on their own instincts to grow and reseed, thereby playing an important role in what the garden looks like, each plant contributing to the garden's unique and evolving beauty.

In this era of climate change, however, beauty is not enough. Gardens must perform the twofold task of engaging our senses and providing safe and nutritive spaces for the animals and insects that share those spaces.

Naturally, each of our design and planting decisions is grounded in a desire to shape landscapes so they pull us into their inviting interiors, allowing us to experience the restorative qualities of being lulled into a little bit of nature.

Drawing on years of horticultural training, Rob creates outdoor spaces that are both beautiful and sustainable, each seamlessly blending with  the surrounding environment. His passion lies in creating naturalistic havens by drawing inspiration from untamed landscapes.

From selecting place-appropriate plants to incorporating sustainable materials, he is dedicated to building gardens that are as good  for the planet as they are for people.

In his garden designs, Rob draws on the work of contemporary innovators such as Roy Diblik, Tim Pilgrim, Sarah Price, and Adam Woodruff. The outcome is  an alluring naturalistic aesthetic that blends the traditional with the modern.
